Wolfman Jack, seen here in a unattributed 70's drawing which appears, appropriately enough, to be made with metal filings. The Wolfman worked for a border radio station in Mexico but due to the unbelievable power of those remote transmitters (circling birds died in their vicinity) his voice would bounce of the ionosphere at night and could be heard all over the world... and what a voice it was.
